Felt very safe; accommodations quiet and homey. The Greeter at check-in was very kind and accommodating. Really liked having the Il Fornaio restaurant on the same property.

The hotel was absolutely charming in the prime area of Carmel town. Because it's so central (we walked to restaurants, shopped) we were worried about noise but it was very quiet. It's great to find a boutique hotel with such a comfortable non-old bed - that was a plus!

The hotel gave us complimentary champagne for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. Also, when we booked our stay, the immediately called me to let me know that they accidentally overbooked their rooms but because it was our anniversary, they upgraded our room to a suite. The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Carmel By The Sea. The furniture and art decor is beautiful . It's situated In the midst of downtown Carmel where the art galleries and wine tastings are. It is only a few blocks from Clint Eastwood's Hog's Breath restaurant, which we highly recommend.

The location is great, in the heart of downtown, 7min walk to the beach. There is a free small private parking lot across street for the overnight guest. We arrive just after check-in time, so find a parking spot. Not sure whether there would be spot if arrive late at night. You can tell from the amenity that the hotel is pretty old. There is no elevator, but the front desk offer service to carry the luggage to the room. The room is small and beautiful, the bed is cozy.

Amazing location, the room (#3) we stayed in was "outside" of the hotel (by Il Fornaio), but it is a nice, large, quaint room with the most amazing bathroom you'll ever see.

Loved the location and charm of the hotel. The views from the restaurant were beautiful. The staff were amazing! They had fans delivered to our room before we brought in our luggage. The front desk lady gave our son stickers. Everyone was so sweet

Great restaurant for breakfast, or any meal for that matter. Also a great coffee and pastries bar. Very cute.

The room was small, clean, and cozy, and the bed was comfy. There was a lot of storage like drawers and a separate room like a closet. The location was perfect with the ocean view, window shutters can be opened for better view.
